200 hour initial training program

I’m Dawn, the main teacher of this program. I have been practicing and studying yoga for more than 20 years and teaching hatha yoga classes for more than 10 years. My classes empower people to live more fully in their bodies, to show up for themselves and their lives.
In this, my 7th year teaching trainings, I would love to teach you how to become a wholehearted 8 limb yoga teacher, bringing the best of yourself to life, for you, your students, and the world.
WHAT YOU WILL EARN / LEARN
Students completing the program may choose to register with the Yoga Alliance for their 200 RYT
Thorough knowledge of yoga poses and their qualities
Why we do them, how we do them safely and effectively
How to observe others doing them
How to assist someone doing them
How to guide someone through them

To emphasize strength, flexibility, energetic qualities, etc.
History of yoga and important texts
For context and depth
Breath control, mantra, and techniques beyond poses
There is much more to yoga than just the poses, another 7 limbs in fact
Meditation and relaxation techniques
Teaching best practices
Strategies and approaches that work best in any teaching scenario
Ethics on and off the mat
Introduction to Ayurveda
Teaching with trauma awareness
Introduction to Thai Yoga Bodywork with Michelle Aalbers
Schedule format
Most Fridays 6 - 9 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Plus one Saturday, January 14)
COST
The cost for this training is $3400.
You have the option to pay 100% upon being accepted into the program. Or to pay a $400 deposit, and $500 the first training day of each month of training, January - June.

The cost for this training is $2900, if paid in full by December 1.
